Meet Steve
After 20 plus years in the banking industry, Steve Schoos decided to take the plunge into the real estate industry. It was always something that he had considered and he is glad he decided to give it a try. Now more than 15 years later, Steve is still in the real estate industry and works primarily in Pierce, King, Thurston, Grays Harbor and Mason Counties.
Steve specializes in the “old school technique” of face-to-face interactions, but also uses quarterly mailings, pop bys and social media to market his listings. He prioritizes his clients and educates everyone he works with about the latest housing industry news. Steve works in mostly residential, but has also worked quite a bit with raw land and has started to delve into the commercial aspect of the industry.
In Steve’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, and with 10 grandkids he stays very busy. He is also an avid fly fisherman and is always on the lookout for rainbow trout, steelhead or even a salmon.

Puyallup
The city of Puyallup sits in a valley just southeast of Tacoma near the foothills of Mount Rainier and the Cascades. Our verdant soil is known nationwide due to the beautiful Daffodils that grow here. Those flowers are distributed throughout the west and are celebrated each spring during the Daffodil Festival. Named for the Puyallup native american tribes who first settled here, Puyallup is also the name of the river that flows through town and has its origins in a glacier on nearby Mount Rainier. The river provides fishing opportunities and other waterfront activities. And the local fish hatchery is a favorite spot for school trips and family outings. The Washington State Fair takes place in Puyallup every September. More than 1 million people “Do the Puyallup” each year, making it one of the ten largest fairs in the U.S. The Farmers Market runs between April and October and features produce grown right here in the valley. And residents love visiting Pioneer Park, with its playgrounds and open spaces, as well as Ezra Meeker Mansion, which can be rented for special events. Public art pieces, largely consisting of statuary, can be seen throughout downtown. And the annual Books, Brews and Bites Festival features local and national authors. Puyallup is also known for our historic antiques district. The downtown core is home to commercial buildings dating back to the city’s founding in the late 1800s.
